Iecava is a river in Latvia. Iecava's source is formed from several springs near Daudzese village, Jaunjelgava municipality. The river's mouth located 4 km below Jelgava city in Lielupe river.[3]

Iecava river is flowing through Taurkalne and Upmale low land where it has mainly wooded coasts.[4] Near Iecava town it crossing Zemgale low land and in Tīreļi low land it reaches Lielupe river.

The main water source (more than 50%) for Iecava river is water from melting snow, but water from groundwaters is minimal (4-5%); because of that river usually overflows in springs and has low water level in summers.[5]
